Robert Tydrych
As a teenager Robert Tydrych began playing percussion instruments. Fascinated by the djembe drum, he studied the music of West Africa, initially with percussion group MANASRYTM.
As his passion developed he also joined the African project RED TREE and travelled to Guinea in West Africa to further his knowledge of the music of the region. Robert is currently living in Amsterdam where he plays frequently - accompanying African dance lessons and playing with musicians from Senegal, Guinea and Burkina Faso.
Robert is the co-founder of the group Guzanghida in Amsterdam and in Poland plays with the group Afrique SSogue (Szczecin).
