Sweat Lodge with Etira and Jaskon
16 and 18 July, 19.30
Sweat Lodge, called also a hut of healing, is a ceremonial sauna, where the body as well as the mind and the spirit undergo a purification process. In Lakota language "Sweat Lodge" is called "in-ipi", what means "the breath of life". In this tradition this sacred ritual of the steam is transmitted from one to the next generation and is still a part of the daily rites.
The Sweat Lodge is a symbolic return to the womb of the Mother Earth. It reminds primeval Slavic ritual of purifying relationships by using elements of water, fire, earth and air as well as healing herbs, collected at the nearby meadow, that used to be performed in so called Bania, which means a hut in a shape of a dome.
